Looking down Barton Canyon from the West Tavaputs Plateau, one can only imagine how the Fremont Indian Culture survived and flourished in this hard land.

Hiking the canyon rim during your stay at the ranch will give you ample opportunities to photograph these scenic and spectacular sites where the "Ancient Ones" of the Fremont once lived.
